“The works in my current exhibition are explorations of color in the world around me - both in and out of my studio. I find it exhilarating to work in different mediums, different subjects and on different projects. By moving from landscape to still life, and from paint to pastel, I am able to see each with a fresh vision. I am particularly fascinated with the layers of color within color that define shape and create the beautiful atmospheres that I find so compelling in my subjects. Building with layers of paint and pastel, I strive to convey that atmosphere and the incredible depth of color reflecting in color.”
